Smart-Review Commentary: For 2013, Panasonic’s lowest priced 3D Plasma ST60 Series has received upgrades that were previously only seen on the high end sets. Panasonic is a leader in 3D Ready Plasma TVs. The Viera TC-P60ST60 includes the Neoplasma Black Panel with Infinite Black Pro Filter with faster switching phosphors to produce great contrast, and will help in making a picture with great colors, excellent shadow detail, and inky blacks. The ST60 Series is DLNA compliant to allow you to use content from your PC and other devices on your TV. VIERA Remote2 APP allow you to control your TV with your smartphone or tablet. The set has a built-in Wi-Fi adapter with BlueTooth, so there is nothing extra to buy. With VIERA Remote App Support, you can control your TV with your smartphone or tablet. The remote control has illuminated keys, making it easier to operate in a darkened room. This year’s model now includes two pair of 3D active glasses. We were impressed by the extremely high consumer/professional ratings on this TV, which is what we expected given the high ratings of last year’s model. We also got to preview the model at CES 2013, very impressive. The Panasonic TC-P60ST60 is great value for a very high quality Plasma TV and is a Smart-Review Top Pick for 2013.Panasonic ST60 Series 60-inch 55-inch 65-inch. 1. Money saving hint.
Here is an interesting repair we had today. Customer brought in a Sony KDS-55A2020 SXRD projection TV. He purchased a new lamp on the internet and replaced it and TV did not work. Original problem TV was working and each time when he turned TV on message appears on bottom” lamp going bad soon”. He had to install the lamp into the cartridge by himself only problem he did not ass...emble lamp cartridge right and put wrong screw in wrong places. Customer did bring TV into shop and we reinstalled lamp correctly put right screws and secured them properly. Reset message in menu under tools lamp hours. This message displays after so many hours and does not always indicate the lamp is bad. Each time you replace a lamp you have to reset lamp hours or message will remain on screen and only a few TV manufacturers use this message. In most cases when customer brings the lamp in for replacement we can check it and find most of the lamps are good. Go to Menu then Setup way on bottom you will see Lamp replacement, check arrow right to start message will ask has lamp been replaced say yes. Individual manufacturers have different reset procedures. Contact us @ TV Repair MN

How to find a good Vintage Receiver

Best place to find a good receiver is garage sales, thrift stores, estate sales, parents and grandparents. From our experience people who have bought on eBay do not always get good deal. Good vintage receivers are not sold cheaply. Now a day’s most people know the value of good vintage receiver. The only problem when you are buying is you have no idea if it-is in good condition or not. So if the unit is somewhat working that is a good sign because it may not require major expenses. Much emphasis primarily through the internet and YouTube suggests that in order to have good quality sound from your vintage receiver you must replace “all” capacitors. Not true. “If it is not broke do not fix it”. Most repairs may require a minimal amount of capacitors in power supply, some lamps and cleaning/DeoxIT and lubing the controls and switches.
